Devlog #1: The Introduction
Hey guys, thanks for checking out my little devlog for the Deimos Engine!
This is a labor of love that I've had burning a hole in a folder of my hard drive since 2016 and I recently got the gumption to take a crack at the dormant code and try to make something useful of it. In the past 5 days I've been able to port the messy code from GMS 1.4 over to 2.3, implemented the Hexen Map Format, import sprites into a level, load sounds, and design a test interface which i'm referring to as the Wad Lab. Unfortunately I'm in a situation where money is incredibly tight so I can't really afford to spend a lot of time working on this.
Because of that I've decided to open up pre-orders on the system so that I can actually afford to put more energy into getting this system into a usable state.
Any pre-orders will come with access to the Wad Lab when it enters beta. This will give you a taste of the features being added into the engine, and will hopefully hold you over until the engine is ready for you to implement into your projects!
